After Nokia C3 (which are pushing much to succeed in the midrange) now Nokia is preparing to release their second full QWERTY keyboard S40 but in this case for X-series. It would be nothing more and nothing less than the brother of the Nokia X2 but, as I mentioned, in this case Nokia X2-01 has a traditional format with full QWERTY keyboard phone.

Like the C3, the Nokia X2-01 has a QVGA screen, connectivity GSM / GPRS / EDGE (no 3G), Bluetooth, FM radio and support for microSD memory cards. But, unlike C3, in this case the X2-01 does not have Wi-Fi but has dedicated music buttons (not surprised to be part of the Xseries) and better 3-megapixel camera.

The X2-01 is the second S40 QWERTY but not the first QWERTY Xseries as this award goes to the Nokia X5 formatted Symbian-based slider. There are no official data on price or release date for this but no doubt Nokia will be an interesting competitor to the mid range and will likely appear in emerging markets like India.
