NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M, DirectX 11 mobile GPU

NVIDIA announces the arrival of its proposal GeForce GTX 480M. Developed with 40 nanometer manufacturing process, the new solutions for the mobile market will be characterized by the presence of 352 stream processors (or cores cuda) operating at a frequency of 850MHz while the GPU is set at 425MHz with 256-bit memory bus which will flanked GDDR5 video memory (up to 1GB) to 4800MHz.

The mobile market is currently experiencing a transition, there are many manufacturers of laptops to have entrusted to the latest solutions developed from ATI. Being able to rely on proper support for DirectX 11 and feature Infinity are elements that make such solutions very attractive.

As confirmed by NVIDIA's new proposal for the market of handsets will debut on systems, GeForce GTX 480M optional next month. Like all of the GeForce 400 video solutions even this proposal will be able to properly support 3D Vision, PhysX, SLI and Pure Video.

The proposed new NVIDIA is presented as a solution dedicated to high-end notebook market: despite missing at the moment about the exact values of the TPD solution, we can expect very high fuel consumption, which would GeForce GTX 480M proposal mainly for systems desktop replacement.
